The current COVID-19 pandemic has forced a global response. Currently, the Province of BC is in Phase 3 of its response and re-opening plan. At the Burns Bog Conservation Society office, thoughtful steps have been taken to ensure the safety of our staff, as well as the general public.
Our event protocol now includes pre-registration of all participants, pre-event symptom screening, provision of hand sanitizer and additional sanitation supplies, reduced capacity and distanced tables or seating, encouraged use of masks, and elimination of ticket sales or registration at the door.
In the office staff are now splitting their time, working both in the office and remotely. Active work stations within the office are at least 2 metres apart. High-contact surfaces are sanitized regularly and hand sanitizer is readily available throughout the office. Masks are available to anyone who enters the office and are required for all visitors.
The office is now open to the public by appointment only, and are taken at the discretion and comfort of staff. Anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, regardless of severity or frequency, will not be allowed to enter the office. Upon entry, visitors will be required to sanitize, and any physical contact with staff is not permitted.
To book an appointment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office at 604-572-0373. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this difficult time.
